Biography
Overview:
Baran is a senior associate in our Project Finance practice in Istanbul. Baran has considerable experience in the representation of lenders, sponsors and developers in a range of project development and financings. His practice concentrates on energy, infrastructure and project finance, with particular experience in the Turkish electricity market, privatizations, public private partnerships and energy mergers and acquisitions.
He also focuses on domestic and cross-border acquisition finances and banking finance transactions where he has been involved in vendors/purchaser’s due diligence reviews, reviewing/drafting/commenting of loan agreements and term sheets, drafting/perfection of security documents, drafting/amending of relevant corporate documents and assisting with the closing procedures and issuance of legal opinions.
